Georgia is located in southwest Asia, stretching along the coast of the Black Sea. Georgians are called Kartvelebi, and they call their country Sakartvelo, i.e. the country of the Kartvelebi. The relief of the country is largely mountainous. It is the home of many important institutions such as the Parliament and the Government, Georgiana Academy of Sciences, Tbilisi State University, Tbilisi State Conservatory, the National Bank of Georgia and the National Public Library of the Parliament.
Another city worth visiting is Batumi, the largest port in Georgia. The city is one of the most important resorts of the Caucasian coast of the Black Sea, famous for its eucalyptus. The largest aquarium in the former USSR and largest botanical garden in Georgia can be seen here.
